We can spends hours arguing about which trend really dominated our Instagram feeds, but sometimes we should just leave it to the tech and number experts. But should we really? At the beginning of each year, we see numerous lists predicting the must-have products and sure-to-be-hit trends of the new year. But, how accurate are they?
At the beginning of 2016, the data-driven folks at Shutterstock compiled a detailed reports on the fashion trends that would create an impact in 2016. Shutterstock compiled this data after having a look their customer’s downloads and search behaviour from 2015. That totalled to over a million customers across 150 countries.
Their scientific findings predicted that the trends would include metallics, geometric prints, boho, and flatlays. If you know of the magical app called Instagram, you know that flatlays were surely a hit. Now it’s up to us to agree with these stats or not.
